Components Camp with Coaches Carrie and Grant

15 Kansas City skaters worked with ICI Coaches Carrie and Grant to improve their program components scores as a part of ICI's March Mastery Series. As a culmination of the morning's work, skaters learned choreography for a 3 minute program.  Check out their program below!

Spring Show

Independence Skating Academy Presents. . .

Fairy Tales and Fantasies

Skaters of all levels are invited to participate in our 3rd spring show in a group number, a solo and/or duet. Enrollment for group participants closes Friday, April 15th.

Solo and duet participants need to share their music choice here and send Jessica Robinson their music after they have completed their online enrollment and payment. All song choices should fit under the chosen theme, Fairy Tales and Fantasies. Song duration should follow Compete USA guidelines (Snowplow to Basic Levels- 1:10, Free Skate/Excel Beginner-Preliminary- 1:40, Pre-Juv and Above- 2:00). Enrollment for solo and duet participants closes Sunday, May 1st.

Independence Community Ice is home to the Heartland Figure Skating Club.  We offer opportunities for figure skaters of all ages and abilities!

Both competitive and recreational skaters are encouraged to participate in our events including annual competitions, ice shows, camps, and private lessons.  

If you are looking to start figure skating, we have numerous Learn to Skate Classes in a wide variety of disciplines.  A few of the classes we offer are theater on ice, synchronized skating, advanced spins and jumps, and off-ice classes.
